Your Burnt Store Isles Association works only because good folks like YOU step up and volunteer a little of your time to help keep Burnt Store Isles the best community in SW Florida. So please consider raising your hand to fill one of the open positions we will have starting in January 2026. Contrary to what you might think, serving on the Board is not a tremendous amount of work but it is a great way for you to meet some new friends. And the outgoing officers and directors are ready to help you get acquainted with the duties and responsibilities. Outlined below are the three positions that we need to fill this fall.
President
How would you like to take the reins and help guide a great team of hard-working volunteers? A team made up of neighbors who are focused on making BSI, YOUR community, the best place to live in Florida. You’d provide what any group needs from time-to-time ... a bit of guidance, focus, and leadership. In addition, you’d be the official representative of BSIA to the local City, County, and State governments, outside civic organizations, and local communities. So, if you want to help BSIA to continue a strong history of community improvement and growth for years to come, get in touch today! What do you say? Email info@bsia.net.
Treasurer
Do you like managing money? Working with numbers? Making sure things add up? Can balance a checkbook? Know your way around a PC? Then we have just the spot for you on the Board as our Treasurer. And while an accounting or bookkeeping background would be nice, it’s not mandatory. Heck, we’ve had Treasurers from all sorts of backgrounds. And we have a great software program that helps to manage our books. Plus the outgoing Treasurer has promised handholding for as long as you need. Make cents to you? Email info@bsia.net.
Legal Liaison
Are you a fan of Suits, Suits LA, or (going way back) Matlock, and Perry Mason? Then we have a great spot on the Board for you. As Legal Liaison you will be the Association’s primary contact with the attorneys who provide us with advice and counsel. This doesn’t mean that you need to be an attorney or a paralegal, but an interest in helping the Board, via input from our legal firm, understand the background on legal matters that come before the Board is critical. Can we swear you in now? Email info@bsia.net.
Detailed descriptions of all the Board positions can be found on the BSIA website at this link: https://bsia.net/board-duties.
If ANYTHING here sparks an interest, please reach out and let the BSIA 2026 Nominating Committee hear from you at info@bsia.net. Nominees will be voted on at the November 13, 2025 general membership meeting and start their two-year positions on January 1, 2026.
And if you’re interested in volunteering but are not currently a member, don’t let that deter you! It’s easy to join. Just click HERE.
THANK YOU!
