From Rick Daugherty, Chairman, BSI Canal Committee
As member of the BSI community, you are directly involved in the actions, decision and directions this committee takes. We are after all, a community and It behooves us to act like a community, which means we all have a responsibility to not only ourselves, but everyone else in the BSI community. It is my hope and intent to help you understand those issues specific to our canals and sea walls, those that impact and affect not only you but everyone else within BSI
For those of you that haven’t read it, I would suggest you go the Punta Gorda site, Government, Code of Ordinances, Chapter 6 – Vessels, Docks, and Waterways HERE. It is this document that is the basis for our deliberations and decisions, and if you want to understand why we approve/decline anything pertaining to special permits, this code is the basis for the decision-making precedence.
Below you will find pdf copies of the articles found in our weekly Homeowners Association Bulletins.
