BACON CRISPS

Ingredients
1 pound bacon; cut slices in half
½ cup freshly grated Romano cheese
1 sleeve buttery rectangular crackers (recommended: Waverly or Keebler)
Steps
Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
Place 1 teaspoon of grated cheese on each cracker and wrap tightly with a (half)
strip of bacon.
Place wrapped crackers on a baking sheet and place in oven.
Bake for 1½ – 2 hours until the bacon is done.Do not turn.
Remove from baking sheet and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot. Can be served at room temperature but they are better served hot
or warm.
NOTE: If you are in a hurry, you can bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes.
